From reading that thread I wouldnt want to associate with those bunch of thugs. "Street Felonz" ?? I dont want to be around a bunch of street racers for fear of getting arrested just watching, guilty by association.

i just re-read that thread i didnt see anyone talking about doing any street racing. i dont think its right to call them thugs with out even knowing them. i met them a few times and they are actually preety cool guys.

I would like to go to the January 6th meet at the Spectrum, but not if I'm the only thirdgen. Anyone else want to join me? Hopefully I'll have my car done tomorrow so I can go.

 

my car isnt ready but i will be riding with one of the guys in my club. there are some third gens that are not on this board that will be going and there are a couple of ls1 powered third gens that will be going from ls1tech.com

 

Lol. Refering to the felons, a majority of these guys are in their early to mid 20's, the same can't be said for the tgo group we have here in so cal.

 

Wonder how the weather is going to affect the meet tomorrow.

 

Weather should be ok, but there is the OC Marathon going on tomorrow. Start and Finish line is the OC Spectrum where we're meeting. It will be packed. I didnt get my car finished so for those two reasons I wont be going.

 

To bad your car isnt finished... It looks like it was be a real killer when it's ready

The only concern now is that security may come in and try to break up the meet. But rain or shine, most people are still a go it seems. If my fuel leak isn't drastic, I'll drive the 15 minutes down to the Spectrum and join 'em.

We were there for about a 1/2 hr. COLD

about 30-40 cars. That parking lot is about a mile from D&B.

A 88+/- Camaro vert with supercharger and intercooler was there, not sure who owned it.

Was it your idea to name your club "Street Felonz"? The next question that comes to mind is why would anyone pick a name like that for a club, unless they were a street gang? Are you guys really felons or are you posers?

From my understanding street felonz was formed originaly for street racing but they later became a car club and not just a group of guys looking for a street race and they just continued to keep using the same name.

im pretty sure just about every one on here has pulled up to a red light and raced someone before, that counts as a street race.

also you can put any car club name under a microscope and come up with negative remarks...
(i.e why does wesbound share the same name as a lowrider club, they couldnt come up with their own name? why are there two so cal muscle car clubs? why did so cal third gen name their club after a section on a chat forum)

i dont mean any disrespect to any club or anyone on here but if someone were to make negative remarks about you or your club you just might take offense to it as well. so you might not like the way he responded but im sure you can understand why he would be upset

Thats smart you dont want a bad reputation but you call yourself's "Street Felonz". Yea thats really brite you need to think about how that sounds befor you reply next time.

 

Actually, the club name came first, and THEN this forum was started to give us a place to talk.

 

i understand that but my point was just that an outsider looking in can easily misunderstand the name of another club.
