Need my bin file Kevin

Well I just tried to post and lost my info. been a long time since I have posted here.

Anyways long story short life has been hell this year. 2009 is coming Im looking forward to getting passed smog and get the new cats on and awaiting some long lost money.

I really need my Bin file you tuned when the 7730 was swapped in. Ivan and myself really would like to view it and take a look at some things. I dont have interntet an Ivan is going to be helping me with a few adjustments as we are going to get the wide band and see where we are at and esp since the car has been sitting all year. So Ivan would be holding onto the file for me. And the sooner the better for him as he is real busy with school after Jan 5th. I might have to beg him for help after that.

So yeah I really have to get this car back on the road. I never non Op the car, so registration is due again and dmv is already wanting to make deals so Im hoping everything kinda falls into place.

The car isnt all that bad but we really need to see that file.

Happy Holidays

Brandon, the bin file would be on Don's computer. Why don't you stop by Don's shop with a jump drive in you hand and ask him if he can copy it to your jump drive?

Russ is right, its on Don's computer at the shop. You need to get ahold of him. He could PM it to you.

Or, insert your chip into your burner, click on move device to buffer, and save it to your hard drive that way.

I was going to do that, but Branden wants the first bin when he swaped his system to SD. I even told him to PM you, or stop by your dad's shop for the bin.

I called don and he is going to send the file when he has time. there is no problem going there. but I would be saying the same thing here. I don't have a usb drive. I don't have a computer. and my internet is only on my palm. so no downloads possible. I can forward the file to ivan I think.

it is hard to remember all the reasons that kevin made tuning adjustments. and don could be right that he doesn't see why I need that file. as improvments where made. we worked on timing issues also after that first run. but this is what I know. that chip passed smog and that chip made 389 rwhp. even though the dfi made the numbers. the car ran faster with kevins tune at the track.right now the car is running rich at its idle and sitting in drive. hitting the throttle cleans it up but falls back to running rich.

Branden, I was just into Fry's in Westminster. I bought 2 gig jump drives for $7.99 each.

that's cool Russ. The only problem is I can't put it into a cell phone. I just need it sent email to calibranden@aol.comI send that file to Ivan he burns the chip. we have to go over some other engine adjustments. fuel pressure. idle iac. o2 readings. timing. tps and an over look of things. and probably some other things ivan and myself may need to look into.

Re: Need my bin file Kevin

You could pick up one of those jump drives and put the file on it. You would just plug it into Ivan's or anyone elses computer to burn your chip. You keep the file on the jump drive and keep it in the glove compartment or wherever, but you have that file permanently, so that if your ecm ever looses the program, you have the file readily available to reinstall it. If that program is used as the staerting point to do a custom tuner program, you put the second file on your jump drive. The main thing is that you need the file as a starting point to burn a chip. That way you will always have the file if anything goes wrong in the future. If you get a computer, you can put the file on the comnputer, but if you don't, you will have it whenever you need it.
