Re: Check Engine Light

Use this:
http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead...c/TPIcodes.pdf

If there is a problem, it WILL be located here. I had a code 42 that indicated a faulty ignition module/ecm, I had the module tested twice and both times it turned out fine. The problem ended up being a shorted wire that runs to the module.

Re: Check Engine Light

If you changed the sensor and the code remains, then there must be a short or open in the wires to the sensor.

Re: Check Engine Light

ok this is wierd i made sure that the wires were good behind the block the ground i took the car for a drive around the block surpisingly it did not turn the check engine light on as it would normally do it lasted a good while but pulling back into the garage it started to head up the fans did not come on because i could not hear them running and then the check engine light came on could this be setting off the code:23 for the mat sensor i think it has something to do with it
