can i reuse my brake lines with a 9 bolt rear?
I know the E-Brake cables wont work, but i'm putting in a 9 bolt rear and need to know if the regular brake lines will work with it. Thanx.

If you're changing whole rears, the only line you will change is the one from the body to the rearend. This line should be the same for most cars, shouldn't be an issue. Just buy a new one and make sure the threads are the same before you tighten it up.

Both really. You will reuse the hard lines attached to the rear itself, but you should replace the rubber line that goes from the car to the rear, it's probably old and will need to be replaced. You don't HAVE to replace it, I just figure you would beacause 1. It's old and may be cracked or damaged; 2. It's cheap; 3. You will have it halfway off anyway. No reason to skimp on brakes...you'll need to stop, too.

The parking brake lines should work as well... just hook th elines on your repalcement rear in the same place the ones from your 10-bolt hooked, which is the adjuster plate thing in the drive shaft tunnel.

The rear end of the car is something new to me that i've yet to gain experience with, as you can probably tell. I plan on doing the swap within a day or two. So let me get this straight once and for all: The rear will bolt right up and i'll be able to use the original E-brake cable from the 10 bolt. It would be a good idea to replace the worn rubber brake lines that run from the body to the rear itself.
Anything else, let me know. I don't want to run into any unexpected gremlins if they're avoidable. Thanx fellas.

Replacing the rubber lines would be the smart thing to do.Earlier when I stated I used all the same lines when I swapped my rear,is because I just bought new rubber lines a couple months before the swap.
