The same as they'd do for any third gen f-body. Increase chassis stiffness. That would help your handling by reducing chassis flex. Even if you don't have the power to twist the chassis, it will help handling.

You wont believe how much change the sfcs will do for the handling of your car. Not to mention the increased life of the major body parts. For the expense---get them.

SFCs are something that EVERY THIRDGEN SHOULD HAVE. (Period) unless for some reason you are trying to preserve you car as stock (in which case, maybe you shoudl get BOLT on SFC's. other wise everyone should have them. sfcs are great for high torque aplications to keep the frame from twisting, but they are also great from a handling standpoint. and also for a daily driver they make the car nicer to drive, it quites things down and rudes alot of rattlling.
just because you don't have a 500HP v8, is no reason not to get a pair. if you do get them, trust me , you won't be disapointed.

They're already on my list. Well, I have a pretty long list though. If I ever get to everything on my list I'll be about 12,000 poorer with a mile wide grin. ^_^

Do the sub-frame connectors as one of your first mods--move them up the list. I installed subframe connectors after doing most of the mods--a mistake on my part. It made a dramatic difference in handling and feels much tighter just going straight down the road.

They are already the first mod on my list. I'll probably have my uncle do the welding for it. He's done some very nice work on his own Model-T. His Model T has a LS1 in it. Makes for some really fun drives. He also has a AMC rambler. I can't remember what year though.
BTW, I love the gfx on your maro. Looks very nice and clean.
