Front Lower Control Arms
Front Lower Control Arms
I have been looking all over for tubular or light weight front lower control arms (i could be calling them the wrong name).
The swaybar bolts to them and the springs rest in them.
Does anyone make these for a 1984 trans am

IRC, Road-tech (http://www.roadtechonline.com) makes them. and they have the stock spring perches. they also make a k-member a-arm kit, that uses the the factory spring location. i don't think it is listed on their website, so you might need to call them about getting only a-arms.
pa racing may also. i know pa racing makes a whole kmember a-arm kit, but that may only be for coil over conversions.

Ive been thinking about aftermarket lower control arms for the front as well but Im wondering is there any advantage to the them? Granted Poly bushings would be nice but is there other benifit? Does PA racing have a webiste??
lighter unlike the stamped steel. that's it. possability of breakage if built wrong; especially with chromolly. go with steel for the street if you can spring the 900+ tag. sure look sweet though.

with the cromemoly you will save on wieght, i don't know how much though.
you should read up alot more before you go through with this. i wouldn't go with anything other than the steel just because of the strength tolerances. any place that warns you for race purposes only on something as important as that piece i would be warry. we put a steel setup from pa on a thirdgen a couple of weeks ago with coil overs and it looked really trick. every little bit of weight helps; but for the price tag i wouldn't do it unless money wasn't an option or you were into the 10's or lower.
