How hard is it to install BOLT-IN sfc's???

I just bought a set and they will be here on WED., goona put them in on Thurs. I'll be welding them later.

My question is.... How difficult is drilling the holes? That is not thin metal by any means and it seems to me that you would have to drill at a funny angle which wouldn't make them fit properly.

Anyone have experience with this??

you really should just wait until you can weld them...........they are not hard to bolt in...well, not harder than most things. nothing compares to a welded sfc's though.

Yeah but why not bolt them in so the guys have a much better/easier time welding them in later? That seems to be the best idea for me, they will probably charge me less money if everything is already mocked up.

calm down guy..........it's ok. your not going to ruin anything, all i'm saying is putting them up and welding them isn't a big deal.

if you want to bolt them up to make sure they put them in the right place then you should.

ok GUY, I'm calm, you haven't answered my question. I want to know if the exhaust or the frame gets in the way of the drill when you try to drill the holes. It seems to me that if you drill the hole crooked, you're screwed.

You are making out to be really easy so I guess it's no big deal.
Thanks Guy.

I don't recall having any problems drilling to install my bolt in Alstons. Worst case scenario: you have to run out to Sears to buy one of those 90° drill bit heads if your drill is too large.

Woo-Hoo!!!!!

I got half of my stuff today.

The SFC's look really good, they are stout pieces. The rear bolt of the rear end of the sfc's bolt to the front LCA bolt, making for really easy installation I hope. ( I won't have to figure out where to line them up)

I also got a Lakewood Adj. Panhard rod. Let me tell you, for the cash, it's really nice. 93 bucks for it.

I got new coil spring isolaters and new sway bar bushings, and I have my complete energy suspension set on the way.

My coil springs and IROC steering box should be here soon also. I already have new shocks so with all this stuff....I should have the NEW car suspension feel!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait.

I am gonna install the SFC's tomarrow.
