Why do some A-arms have end links for adjustment ?

What adjustments are made form the end links on the A-arms ? and how much can they affect a novice or intermediate driver ?

I have only seen such things when you go to heim joints for the A-arm joints where they meet the subframe. It is constructed that way to facilitate installing and replacing the heim joints. You can use the adjustments in conjunction with upper strut mount movement to increase or decrease track width as well as change things like the camber curve and caster drastically. Aside from track width, those are things already adjustable with the existing setup so basically they just give you much more freedom with alignment adjustability.

IMO, with your stated driving ability, I would stay away from that sort of adjustment as I seriously doubt you (or most of us non-professional drivers) would be able to actually tune that adjustment to our benefits.

You can use very little rodended a-arm adjustments on non-coilover cars. The spring will start to misalign in the can and perch with conventional spring setups.
