Is there any reasonable way to adapt 4th gen front brakes to a 3rd gen F-Body?? Specifically 95 Trans Am to 89 Formula 350.
I have the whole car and was just thinking that there must be some way to make this work.
I tried doing a search on this, but didn't find anything but 4th Gen rear disk swaps.

I know they are different, but so are 3rd gen f-bodies and C-4 vettes, yet people adapt those brakes to our cars. I just hoped that there would be a similar way to ust the 4th gen F-body setup on our 3rd gen cars instead of a costly Baer or 1LE setup.

Have you tried doing a search for it. I know that I have read articles about the swap numerous times. You just need to do some investigation.
I don't think it is worth the $ to convert over to the 4th gen front brakes - they are not the same as the Vette and are really not that great - they do make a kit to upgrade 4the gens to Vette brakes.
If you can get the parts for free, go ahead, if you have to spend $800 to do it, go 1LE or baer.

I already have the 4th Gen front suspension / brake parts. (most of the whole 95 Trans Am) So if I can use them on my 3rd Gen I'd really like to. I just can't see spending nearly $1000 to upgrade to the 1LE or Baer unless you're road racing. Traffic isn't even that bad here where I live. I bet the 1995 calipers have to be better than my single piston iron ones though.
I've tried searching for articles on this swap & so far have come up empty. If any of you could point me towards one I'd really appreciate it.

Other than cutting the front off the 4th gen and attaching it to your 3rd gen, there is no other way. You have the cars, just look at them. COMPLETELY different setups.
