Eibach Drag Launch Spring Kit vs. Pro-Kit?
Ok i ran some searches on both sets of springs and wanted to get some more opinion on whats everyone running and how they perform on the street and strip.
Heres my setup:
Lakewood drag shocks and struts, 70/30 front and 50/50 rear
Spohn sfc's, relocation brackets, torque arm, panhard bar, lca's.
I akready have a pro-kit in my garage and but after i found that Eibach made a drag launch set i was wondering how good they would be on the streets, i know they work very nice at the track.
Like any comments on any possible lowering, my car is a daily driver and i dont care about ride comfort (i like it rough
), just want a set that will keep a pretty sleek ride height and give me very good 60 foot and launching characteristics.

The drag launch kit will not be rough. It will be hell trying to drive it on and off an interstate. The drag launch springs are never ment to handle well. The are designed to give you optimal weight transfer.
I'll be going w/ the moroso trick springs. Basically the same thing as the drag launch. I'm just trying to figure out how heavy my car is.

i might just buy them and try them out, i wanted to lower the car and have great launching.
i dont really care for handling to much. and i think the prokit was based on getting the car lowered and for handling, like i said it didnt know that their was a such thing as the eibach drag launch springs when i bought the prokit.
i would hope the drag launch springs wouldnt lift the car at all.
i might just buy them and try them out, i wanted to lower the car and have great launching.

I know w/ the moroso springs you order the correct ones for your weight and then cut them down to size for the desired ride height.
I have the Eibach drag launch kit on my car and I love them. My car still handles pretty good. It doesnt lift the car but I did notice that the front sits little lower than the back. I think it gives my car more of an agressive stance. Let me know if you have any other ?'s.

I just got the Eibach drag springs along with the PA racing tubular a-arms. I haven't been to the track with them yet but they handle fine on the road. You just have to be smart about it.
I also have the Lakewood 70/30 struts, 50/50 shocks, Spohn relocation brackets, airbags, 24mm rear sway bar, no front sway bar, jegster frame connectors and hotchkis LCAs and panhard rod.
With that kind of suspension, the car will drive ok but don;t try taking any turns at 60mph. The last time I had the car to the track, I had the stock ws6 springs in and the stock a-arms and it pulled a 1.5x 60' time.
I am hoping to knock that down into the 1.4x range with a higher convertor and my new cam/heads.
I think it is a good combo and you will like it a lot.

the drag launch i think comes with right a pasengers rear bag so i think that should be good enough to help me launch.

No. My car wasnt lowered before I installed them. After the install it still has stock height in the back but the front lowered maybe .25 of an inch. Just enough to make the front dip a little. Id post a pic to show you what I mean but I dont have one.

Shouldn't the front be higher then the rear so more weight it put to the tires on launch?
The reason the front sits lower is because the springs in the front are not as stiff as the rear. This is so when you launch the front will come up faster due to the less stiffer springs, this in turn plants your rear wheels firmley to the gound due to the stiffer rear springs. If the back sprigs were less stiff then your wheels could still break loose due to the lack of firmness. I hope I explaned it good enough. If anyone can explane it better then please do. Later.

i put in drag launch rear set, when i opened the box the one rear spring had the airbag already inside so i assume thats the right spring for the rear passengers side.
te rears were simple, but the fronts ones are way bigger than the stockers. so what do u guys think about me using the pro-kit front springs instead? i was running out of time and had to put things together

how bad is it to install the rear? I've done rear springs before, but never with the air setup. I guess I'm wondering what all is involved in doing the airbag.

the air bag is already in the spring when u get the kit, its a pieces of cake, a vavle, some hose and zip ties and ur done. it all comes in the kit.
i still have mine for backup, but i am using the pro kit now front and rear. the drag kit made my car way to high.

I vote for the Pro-kit, thats what i'm running on mine. I'm in the same boat, street/strip car, i wanna look good and go fast. I've done alot of searching and reading and went with the Pro-kit, along with some QA1s, relocation brackets it'll be fine and i highly doubt u r running the amount of power i am

Yeah I noticed that when I installed the prokit I lost some traction, however, I feel that I more then gained it back when I installed my tubular LCAs and panhard rod. I think some nice relocation brackets and an aftermarket torque are (like the non-tailshaft mounted spohn model) would make a huge impression on the 60'
