Slop on end links
I was under my car and discovered 1/2" or more of slop between the front sway bar and the end links. Is this supposed to be tight or sloppy. The end of the sway bar dosen't touch the bushings on the end links. Should I replace the end links, if so do you tighten to a spec or just yank away.
I was also considering changing the stock sway bar and bushings at the same time. Are greaseable bushings enough of a replacement or should I replace the sway bar at the same time ? Not building a race car, just a nice Sunday car that handles, sounds and looks good.
Thanks,

see if you can tighten properly, and if it holds
if not replace the endlinks.

easy way to do it....
tighten it down until it is it smooshes the bushing out to the same diamiter as the little cups that fit over the bushings.
(i hope that makes sense, it is about the best way i can descibe it)
i am sure you could also find torque specs for them somewhere, but i usualy just tighten them down until the booshing as cup match.

Thanks, yes that makes sense.
Do you recommend the new sway bar bushings for the car. The sway bar and bushings are original. The bushing around the sway bar looks degraded.
This message board is real helpful, so much easy info for us rookies!

i would up put on some poly endlinks. you see a nice improvement going from GOOD rubber, to poly, imagine going from bad rubber, to poly
