line lock tips needed
hi probabely all of you guys knows how a line lock work. You need to push the brake pedal down and hold the switch and as soon as you leave the switch the gar goes. My at my local dragway 1/8 racetrack we are not alowded to do a stand up, dos'nt matter how long your burn is as soon as your car is mooving. i know with rear drum disk you just push the 2 pedal to the floor but with my rear disk its impossible. is it possible to put my line lock in the rear brake line but IN in OUT and OUT in IN?
to let me brake only with the front brake with the pedal?

are you asking about blocking off the rear line so you can modulate the front brakes without using the rears??

Line locks can be used to hold in pressure(keep brakes locked) or hold out pressure(prevent brakes from applying). It can be placed in either the front or rear, so you can do what you were trying to explain.

sorry ...
I'll do my best now.
so to make it work like i want, can you explain me how to do it properly because in the instruction sheet they only explained how to do the old on brake setup not the opposite. Is it connected the same way exept that i switch in and out up side down. yes i want it to work as a proportionning valve 100%brake in front 0% in rear and when i flip back the switch the brakes work like they should stock. do you understand now...mi line lock by the way is the B&M launch control.
and guys before i chat on this site i never used english before.

The whole installation will be exactly the same it will just be in a rear brake line instead of the front.
Turn the swich to on and then do your burnout. When you hit the brake pedal only the front brakes will work.

push brake, hold switch, leave brake pedal, keep olding switch, burnout(car 100%stopped)leave switch=brake release but i want it to work as a empty fluid rear brake just when i flip the switch....COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!!

What you want to do is set up the line lock on the brake line heading to the rear brakes (just after it leaves the proportioning valve). To operate it, you hit the switch first. Then, push down your brake pedal. Fluid will go to only your front brakes so your rear brakes won't engage. Then do yourburnout and feel free to release the brake a bit to roll forward. After releasing your brake pedal, hit the switch again. When you're at the end of the run, pushing the brake pedal will allow all brakes to work to stop you.
Thinking about it, that isn't a bad way to set up a line lock at all if you have an automatic tranny.

you may want to reconsider that setup if you're running a manual tranny. You will have to get into first gear and spin them, then very quickly move your foot over to the brake pedal to slow yourself down. It kinda takes away half the benefit of having the lock. I'm going to install one soon on my front brakes, but haven't done it yet so i'll leave it to someone else to explain the installation process.
