You don't need them but your rear end will not be centered and your LCA's will not be at the proper angle. The results will be that your rear will stick out one side more than the other and you will suffer from wheel hop. The sportlines are pretty low and these two factors grow the lower you go. For springs that only drop an inch or so it is not as noticable. Fear not. Both can be purchased for under 200 combined.

Thanks shifty for the info...Now if i can keep it under 175 it will be perfect...Also who do you recommend for the parts??Also can i install both the parts even though the axle is already installed?or is it easier if the rearend is out of the camaro? Thanks once again

EDIT:I dont need new lower control arms but LCA relocation brackets correct? If so, spohn has a pair for 65 bux...what do ya think?

BMR and Spohn sell adjustable panhard rods for 120 or so. Both of the relocation backets are priced at 60 bucks or so. I run Spohn and couldn't be happier. He has good stuff and he is a stire sponser. Both can be installed with the rear in the car. You do not need lower control arms at this time (even though they are an excellent mod your stocks ones will dimensionally work). The panhard rod is only held in with 2 bolts so 5 minutes of your time can have that part in. You will spend more time adjusting it than installing it. The relocation brackets can be installed in a matter of minutes with a welder. Just follow the directions if this is your first time. I love the simplicity of the rear ends of these cars no matter how primative them may be.

thanks shifty,
Now the real question...since its the holidays and money is awfully tight around this time of the year, are both of those parts MANDATORY???I dont know what to do because some say yes and some say no...either way im stuck in a bind...but i thank you for your help...I was thinking of doing all my suspension mods all in one shot...SFC,LCA relocation brackets,Torque arm and Panhard bar for the rear....Can those 2 parts wait until i have all the parts that i want?

I have the BMR adj. panhard on my car. If I was doing it again I'd get the Spohn unit because it's easier to adjust and also I 've heard some negative criticism of BMR parts from people who run their cars on road courses. But I tell myself that mine isn't going to brake - wanna buy a used panhard bar..lol.

Another option is UMI Performance, they also offer a adjust. PHB and LCA brackets resonable priced. There is some good word about them in the aftermarket product review section.

The adjust. PHB and reloc. brackets are not mandatory, they are just recommend or needed if you want max performance from your car. When you lower the car the axle will tend to shift one way or another, this will cause some slight tire rubbing from the axle being off center. The PHB will allow you to adjust this so you can recenter the axle under the car. I would wait until you lower it and see how bad it gets, like mentioned above the Sportlines are low.

Relocation brackets correct the LCA angle ofter the car is lowered, you dont need them but yes you will suffer from a greater amount of wheel hop. Most brackets have a few settings so you can play with them. I would also wait until lowered and see how it feels.

If you installed Sportlines on your car, definitely get the LCA brackets. Even with just the Pro-Kit, the LCA brackets made a world of difference, both off the line and with cornering. The Sportlines are even lower and make LCA brackets even more necessary. If you don't believe me, try punching it around a corner and see how much wheel hop you get...

if your strapped for cash just get the stuff installed and then look at how much the rear is out , and if it isnt then you dont need anything. But i suspect that you will need the adjustable panhard bar. I got mine from bmr and i love it. I also got bolt in lower control arm relocators. And adjustable control arms. Bmr has some great stuff and great prices.

I would at least look for an an ADJ panhard rod. You should be able to find a used one for really cheap. Remember, any aftermarket panhard rod from 82 to 02 will work.
