i have a 88 iroc im puting a 350 maybe a 383 in it i also have t-tops so my ? is even with sub frame coector how much power can my car realy handel befor i twist the chass? what elts can i do to make my car handel more power?
and have what happen to it? with 300+ mark i started to get stress cracks in the roof of my hardtop... t-top i can only imagine. depends though on if your going to the track or just around town. if it's an around town only car just use less sticky tires. can twist a car as easily that way.

First of all subframe connectors should be required even on the V6's.
Now as for how much HP before you you twist it with SFC's. Look at my combo in the sig. My subframes are starting to twist the unibody...

How much power before the car twists? Why don't you ask one of the guys on the drag racing board, they're the ones with the REALLY high powered cars. SFC's is pretty much all you need, over 500HP and you should have a safety cage. There are some very high powered 3rd gens around that aren't twisting their chassis', see what their secret is.

My "sfc's" are actually 2x2 box tubing notched through the floor. Welded full length and stuffed inside of the subframes at front and rear with extra bracing, plus my 8-point cage. My connectors are more of an "in floor frame".
