Lightest 17" inch wheel for 4th gens?
Well I have a question. I'm getting a 3.42 disc rear out of an LT1 96 bird and I know the rear sticks out alittle more than ours. What my question is I would like to upgrade to some 17's but I like the "lightness" of my 16lb GTA's. Does anybody know what the lightest 17' inch wheel is for the 4thgens? Or any lightweight wheel in general? any help would be great.

I've heard that the 35th SE wheels are the lightest GM 17s, but I don't know how reliable the info is. I know that the lightest ones are aftermarkets like Volks and CCWs, but they are hella expensive.
BTW, how you like Death Magnetic?

I don't know how much they weigh, but these Corvette C5 wheels look amazingly lightweight.

I really like the instrumental track and Unforgiven III. But, they are all pretty good.
If you are going for light, get powder coated, painted, or natural/polished. Chrome is the heaviest finish. Here's a thread from FRRAX about wheel/tire weight.

It said the link is either out of date or broken.
I don't like chrome anyway. That wheel was just the first I found in that style.

Well, for 17", I think you can get a Z06 wheel, which weights 19.5 for the 17 x 9.5.

Oh.... you probably have to be a member. It works fine for me.
I like chrome on some cars, but not mine. The white/chrome combo doesn't work IMO. If I'd known the Z06s were 3 lbs lighter, I'd gotten them. I liked both those and the ZR1s, but I got the ZR1s cause I found a set first lol.
