Swapping on C5 brakes, toasted my tie rod/LBJ?
Well, it appears that I have messed up the boot on my outer tie-rod end and LBJ. Plus, LBJ still hasn't unseated from the spindle, any suggestions? The BFH approach hasn't yielded any results. Anyway, the boots are torn, are the joints now considered junk and need to be replaced? The car seemed to drive fine so I was hoping not to have to do this, including dropping the LCA. If I do that, I might as well do the springs and LCA bushings, but there really is no money left in the budget right now.
Thanks
Jeff

Also, how would i know if my springs were worn/sagging and need to be replaced? I know my struts are worn, and are getting replaced...

i would only replace the springs if you are planing on putting in higher spring rates for handling, if you are happy with the way it rides/handles, you'r springs are good.

I considered that, but wasn't sure if that was acceptable since it seems one of the boots is still solid (not cracked), it just separated from the joint? I didn't think if I pushed it back on it would stay... I guess that was my question, whether replacing the boot only was acceptable. Guess, based on the responses, it is! I'll see what i can source for them.
Guess I'll leave the springs and LCA's as is for right now too.
Thanks
Jeff
