Does anybody make an aftermarket spring that has a stiffer spring constant without sacrifising ride height? I'd love to get some performance springs but the speed bumps at USF are wicked and I'm already scraping my air dam on them with the stock springs.

check out the jegs or summit catalog. a lot of the makers of suspension parts make springs, plus you should be able to find something from the local parts store.

I know that there a lots of springs out there, but all of the springs in Jegs and Summit lower the car as well. I need to maintain the same ride height.

just a shot in the dark here.. but maybe you can get 1LE springs from your local car part store. It's worth a try at least. I know those are stiffer than the WS6 springs.

Don't always asume that what you see in the catologs is all that they have. I know for a fact that Summit carries more than twice what the big catolog sells. Just call them and tell them what you want. That's all that I ever do. Forget the catolog.

Also, many spring manufacturers make performance, or "heavy duty" springs that are stock height.

I know what your saying about the speed bumps at usf i live in port richey and have had to go there a few times(helping friends and going to the gym a few times) i see all sorts of cars scrape and get stuck i have helped a few low riders off the bumps myself. my 83 camaro scrapes aidam when im there to. maybe the students should complain a little more. i k now when i was in high school up here in port richey they put in new speed bumps that were extremely high. My friend cracked a ground effect and had the school replace it and they wound up puttin in new bumps that werent as bad

I ended up ordering some z28 springs from Advance Auto parts (I work there). The book said that they were around 600 lbs./in. (i forget the exact #'s). It also said that my RS springs were around 400 lbs./in. I figured that would be a significant difference. Plus they were only like $50.
