Go to your local GM dealer. They're only like 35 bucks.

If you're going to buy one, I'd advise the Global West version, which while $10 or $15 bucks more, is certainly far beefier than the GM version.

I second the Global West one. It's much beefer; like the difference between your front and rear swaybars beefer.

If you could pick up a stock one really cheap, it would be worth it; but it would have to be CHEAP.

Is a wonderbar really worth it. And is it alright if I put one on my firebird? I mean, I wouldn't want it to be called "rice" or anything like that.

Wonderbars are about as 'rice' as subframe connectors. The wonderbar, which is a steering box brace that was stock on IROCs, will firm up and protect that area of the car.

spuge29, I'll buy your Wonderbar off of you. Email me at j_hougnon@yahoo.com We'll talk if no one else wants to buy it.

I would have emailed you, but you did not list you email address.

Later,
Jesse

Dont waste your money with the global west piece. the force on the bar doesnt exceed what the stock piece can handle. Ive tried my buddies and it gave no better results then stock.

The global west probably doesnt offer any performance gain or benifit over the GM piece, but at only 10-15 dollars more, isn't that worth having a near bullit proof wonder bar? Wonderful isn't it.

I am fortunate to be able to respond to my own question.

New ones are difficult to get, but last weekend i bout a wonderbar, 36mm hollow front swaybar and BZX/NNL springs from a fine fellow named Michael Ramsey in SC. The parts are as near mint as 12 year old parts could be. The paint is still on them and the part tags were on all but 1 spring.

$50 for the whole shebang. Michael definitely treated me right on these. So I am buying more stuff from him shortly. I hope the front lower control arms from his car work out to be as rust free as these parts.

Now i just have to get the 1Le swaybar bushings and some poly endlinks.

I am considering the del-alum lower control rm bushings for front and rear of my car. What do you think??? Overkill??

This week i am calling SLP to order takeoff lower control arms, fourth gen rear decarbon shocks and a 1le rear panhard bar.

Now all I need is a recommendation on the best torgue arm bushing and tranny mount to get.

Basically i am getting all the parts together to completely refurbish my 1988 SC's suspension to 1le specs or better.

Thanks for everything guys. I will be into dropping in an L98 and putting my TBI unit on top with a caprice 350 cop car chip in the ECM as soon as the suspension is up to it.

This sport coupe should start giving some early 4th gens a run for their money then.
