Rear LCA Bushing Replacement

Ok, kind of an unexpected setback. I bought some LCA on craigslist from a guy that were pretty much brand new (BMR Chrome Moly). The problem is that for whatever reason the guy decided to replace on of the bushings on each arm with rubber ones and got rid of the the stock poly bushings and grease fittings. Well, i want the poly bushings back. Are these something i can replace myself or not? Everything ive read online seems to say its a PITA but all of that info was also in regards to stock LCA and not aftermarket ones. Any help would be great. Thanks

aftermarket bushings will com apart without much issues, should be able to pry them out or knock the sleeve out and tap them out from the inner ridge.

that said, if these are non adjustable arms with, you are better off with the rubber bushings, as the poly will as some bind in articulation, which is a step backwards from what you want, which is why this PO swapped them out.

grease fittings can be had anywhere, they are either tap in, or threaded in. I think 6mm is a common size for the threaded ones?

Well i guess ill leave them in for now then and worry about it later. Which end should go where as far as install since only one side has rubber? Thanks

What's on the other end? If its poly, put the poly on the axle. Rod end also would go on the axle

Poly on one end and rubber on the other.

Would i be better off just putting rubber on the other side as well? I didnt realize poly wasnt so great. Kinda figured the opposite since like very company uses them now. lol

in some applications, poly is just fine, but this is not one of them

i would not worry too much about them as they are. Put them on and go have fun
