Spring Suggestions?
currently sitting on stock springs with kyb agx adjustable gas shocks and tubular rear lower control arms. looking for stiffer springs maybe go lower but not sure. by the end of the year i plan to have spohn sway bars and wonder bar to stiffen up the ride more.
btw plan to drift next spring/summer any help would be great for a good setup!

Re: Spring Suggestions?
Most people look at pro kit (handling) or sport kit (more lowering).

What ever you do don't go with the Drag Launch Kit it's not meant to handle.

Re: Spring Suggestions?
I had first bought the Summit brand 1" lowering springs but was unhappy with the handling and the ride height. I now run the Eibach Pro kit and am very satisfied with everything

I'm also looking at the Ground Control weight jacks. It's that or the Spohn coil over conversion kit. Still can't figure out if the coil over setup is worth the extra money.

And I'm not just saying that because I have a rear set for sell. I truly believe it.

Re: Spring Suggestions?
If you plan to drift with the car, I would think you would want a little stiffer rear springs and rear sway bar than normal. Typically I would not suggest coil overs on the front because they limit you more on the width of the front tires, but, for drifting you don't need a real wide front tire (I wouldn't think, anyway. I'm not really into that, though) so it probably won't matter as much.

Re: Spring Suggestions?
front coilovers are a solution to a problem that doesnt exist. For older cars it can be really nice because their suspensions just arent as good from the factory as ours are. Our strut towers werent designed to support the weight of the car, the coilovers limit tire width, and the main advantage is just easily adjustable ride (which can be done with regular weight jacks) and less weight up front which is good for the drag racing guys.
For people who only want to straight line on skinnies, coilovers are great. For people who watn street fighter corner carver daily drivers, stick with regular weight jacks.
You can make coilovers work really well, but I dont think you'd really see much if any real improvement over a properly set up weight jack + quality strut arrangement, and then youd have to be real careful about wheel offsets/widths with coilovers.
I'd love some weight jacks. You get the spring rate you want, and you use the weight jack to set ride height to get hte stance you want. It's the best of both worlds and you custom tailor it to your car.

Re: Spring Suggestions?
yea i do like the idea of weight jacks. i just need to make sure they can be used when i do drift because i know that lowering springs cannot be used.

Re: Spring Suggestions?
Why cant lowering springs be used? I dont understand that logic at all. Lowering springs are simpler than weight jacks and function identical to stock sagging springs, just with a higher spring rate. Weight jacks add mechanical spacers in there.
This guy drifts and has weight jacks...
