Someone correct me if I am wrong... but didn't the IROC Camaro's have the thickest swaybars available from the factory?

You sure you got those measurements correct? I have never seen an OEM or aftermarket 38mm bar for these cars and there are no OEM 25mm bars. What behavior is the car exhibiting that you think you need a larger bar?

Well my measurements are most likely wrong in that case.....because the front sway bar I got it off an IROC and well when ever I take a sharp corner the front end seems to take it good but as I start to exit the corner the rear isn't as stiff and seems to swing itself.

If that is the case, then a larger rear bar will make it WORSE.
Not sure about the 84 off hand. The info is on this site somewhere.

well it dont mena like swings back its kind fo hard to describe....but isnt better if u do upgrade to a thicker sway bar?wont it give your car better handling....but then again I dont want to thick of a bar in the rear because Ive heard that that can be dangerous.

What you describe sounds like oversteer.

Those measurements have got to be wrong. I've got the largest sway bars available. They're 36 mm front and 24 mm rear.
The general consensus is to get the biggest bar for the front that you can and then tailor the rear bar according to your liking. Some go with a 36/22 combo. Many just stick with the 36/24.

Don't confuse power oversteer with chassis oversteer. A car that is understeering badly can be made to oversteer when power is applied.
A car with too large a front bar will understeer as mentioned in the threads above.

Re: Whats a good upgrade for a stock rear sway bar...?
Probably 32mm/21mm stock - hard to say since there were some wierd variations in the early years. IROC typically is 34/23 and WS6 is 36/24.
The largest rear factory bar would be the hollow 24mm WS6 - found on optioned Trans Ams. There are factory 18, 21, 23, and 24mm bars. And I have seen 25mm aftermarket bars.
The best upgrade is to change the factory rubber bushings with poly ones and to also change the endlinks to poly donuts too (if not new hardware). This goes for front and back bars.
