I'm not sure what kind of power it will make, but do a search for putting a 350 in. You should change the injectors, knock sensor, . . . .
Your TBI should make it run fine, but again don't expect it to have as much power as a L98 with TPI.

Thats what I'm doing. I've heard a cop chip from an 89 or so caprice is pretty close to what you need. They told me that chip would do good enough for what I've got in mind. (rebuilt L98 longblock, LT1 cam, Edelbrock TBI intake, Worked TBI, 350 injectors)
"why oh why would you want to do that?"
Because converting to TPI is expensive and time consuming if the car isn't already set up for it. Its my only car, I can't have it down for a week or 2 at a time. Plus, TBI is not as sucky of a system as everyone things. Its just hardly anyone ever uses it on a performance motor because its hardly ever been done before. So nobody ever expects much out of it.

That '89 chip won't work in an '88 mind you.
I just bought an '89 TPI setup for a 305 off of ebay for $250, it's supposed to have everything I need(fingers crossed) and be in good condition(more fingers crossed).
I went to the store and checked prices on injectors for a 350 TBI, they are $120 for two
I think I'll be better off just going TPI on my car(hopped up 305). Of course I have other cars to drive while I have that one in peices.

The reason I'm going with such a small cam is that this is my only car, so I'm not trying to build a wild *** motor, and the computer won't get freaked out by it. Plus they're cheap. I need cheap, I don't have much $$.

You must have a lot of time on your hands.
