Capped the EGR, screw emissions!

Discount wanted $110 for a new EGR valve... The diaphram on mine was busted and resulted in a nasty lean condition...

Instead of paying $110 I took some sheet metal and RTV sealant and just capped off the EGR...No more vacuum leak and no more lean condition!

So now you have too much timing and too rich of conditions when at light throttle.
You need to turn the egr off on the chip to do something like that correctly.

He's right, you have to get a custom chip now or else you will have problems.

I just at Autozone and they have them for $44.99. It's an easy replacement.
