old style block...knock sensor???

my buddy said he would sell me his motor problem is that its a 1960's block and heads i was planning on staying with the tbi set up but im guessing that i cant use it because it dosent have a knock sensor provision....he had it in a 2wd pick-up and it was carbed, ohh yea i drove the truck before we pulled it out of his truck a couple months ago, it was a nasty motor ran like a top and would definatly pull you back into your seat.....so if i get it am i stuck with a carb set up or is there a way to work around this????

All SBC's have the block drain holes. That's where the knock sensor screws into.

Hmmm, that's funny. Seems to me that when I replied to your two sentence reply, you replied back within 24 hours. You don't subscribe to every thread you post in, do you? And besides, school is out next week, and then there will be no more posting-a-thons in the middle of the day. I gotta post it up in BCIS while I can you know...
