hey some info on a torque converter
well guys whats a good stall converter for my camaro when i put a lt1 cam and manifold and the rest of my mods in my sig?
also my buddie has a 450 hp 383 engine whats a good converter for him on a th-400?

It all depends on the cam your buddy is running but for you, something with 2000rpm stall would work nicely as a daily driver. Anything more and not exceeding 2600rpm would also work just make certain you get a locking converter to save $$$ in gas each year.

get a s10 v6 or i4 stall converter that'll stall you around 2400 of course it depends on your hp... some of the other guys will know more on that then i will..

the best place to find the perfect stall convertor for yourself and your buddy is with the convertor manufacturer. Whether that be TCI, B&M, or whoever else you might want. That is my $.02.
Basically you want to launch at your peak torque and in order to find out exactly where that is you need to dyno it to find out the perfect stall for you. If your car is a daily driver and yuor torque peaks at like 5,000, which yours will not, you don;t want to go that. I wouldn't go any higher than a 3500, but thats pushing it.

well my car doesnt have much mods done to it so were ever the torque is at stock specs thats the stall i need right

whats a good converter company and which 2400 stall do i need for my daily driver a locking or a non locking and what ets improvemnt will i see?
