It all depends on the cam your buddy is running but for you, something with 2000rpm stall would work nicely as a daily driver. Anything more and not exceeding 2600rpm would also work just make certain you get a locking converter to save $$$ in gas each year.

the best place to find the perfect stall convertor for yourself and your buddy is with the convertor manufacturer. Whether that be TCI, B&M, or whoever else you might want. That is my $.02.

Basically you want to launch at your peak torque and in order to find out exactly where that is you need to dyno it to find out the perfect stall for you. If your car is a daily driver and yuor torque peaks at like 5,000, which yours will not, you don;t want to go that. I wouldn't go any higher than a 3500, but thats pushing it.

pretty much. Your power band shouldn't have moved around that much. A 2400 stall would work nicely.

You want a locking converter. I run a vigilante, but they are pricey. Check out ACT.
