Straight from Holley

I asked the same question of the Holley tech staff. Here is their response:

"The 80405 is a 502-6 throttle body for a 87-89 chevy 350 truck. The 80374 is a 670 replacement throttle body for our projection application. Thanks Jessie"

I believe that the TPS connector is different. You may want to do a search to verify that.
I can tell you that the TPS on my 87 TBI pickup truck is different than the TPS sensor connector for my 1991 Camaro TBI.

Re: Holley throttle body

If the GM connector matches the Holley injectors I dont see why not. The Holley TPS may need a holley TPS pigtail or another that mates.

Re: Holley throttle body

I'm looking at throttle body spacers for my LO3 TBI for my '89 IROC Camaro. If I look under the camaro parts list in any parts store or online, the only thing that comes up is the TPI spacers, but if I look under a 1989 Chevy 305 5.0L then I could get a spacer. Is the throttle body on the truck the same as the throttle body on my camaro? If so then I could use the throttle body spacer, right?

Thanks,
- Justin

Re: Holley throttle body

One more question, obviously I would need to change the intake to compensate for the increased flow, but would a 454 TBI work, as far as sensor hook-up, and fitment to my 305 motor?

Re: Holley throttle body

I hate to rain on your parade but why are you considering a 7.4L TBI unit? Unless you have mods that require an increase in flow(25% + or -)? Regardless 7.4L TBI will require significant ECM tuning. I thought the TB itself is same size for 305/350. They do vary in inj size. Stock TB is adequate for stock or mild mods.

Re: Holley throttle body

Squeeze the most out of your stock TBI unit. Almost done with mine.
Took off the Raised ridges, bowled the edges, and grind'd the throttle shafts so far.
