XtremeFI, Ebay

Hey everyone
Has anyone bought anything from this guy on Ebay? He seems to stock a lot of good TBI stuff and I like how he will custom tailor the throttle body you buy to the linkage and IAC that you need. I need some injectors and a fuel pump now and it seems like he has his act together. Anyone?

fuel pump

i got a fuel pump from Xtremefi put it in started the motor and it did work. Next day when went to start it, the pump didn't kick on. i know the relay is getting power. I need to go where the harness is to see if its getting power. Im hoping its not the pump becuase its a pain in the *** and to drop the tank. ill keep you posted have you gotten anything from Xtremefi?

a fuel pump is a little easier to mess up than an injector spacer... id trust the spacer a lil bit more than a pump...

also, just for the sake of saving e-bay's name... i got a Walboro 255lph pump from some guy on there, $98 shipped and it came with the right wiring harness so no wire stripping/crimping was needed... straight plug and play swap and it works PERFECTLY... i always check feedback and i always consider the product... for a piece of metal like an injector spacer, im sure a few negative feedbacks wouldnt be too bad... its a piece of metal... but a delicate product like a fuel pump, i would definately not take many negatives lightly

Yeah I was wondering the same things. I was thinking of buying a fuel pump from them also. Please let me know how the progress is.

Thanks

JEG's

That fuel injector spacer ... same damn thing that JEG's sell.. hmm for 20 bucks .... how do I know ? Because I got one .. not a bad buy.. considering my stock fuel injector housing gasket was in two pieces ...

Here it is

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...37&prmenbr=361

Car ran for hmm two days before it developed more problems.. BUT ... that;s the intake manifold gasket that finally gave up.. nothing to do with the fuel injector spacer

Now my question is ... can one stack TWO of those spacers ? Or would that raise the injectors way too high up ?

I guess you could, but I think it would cause more problems than good. If the injectors are too high, the fuel wouldn't spray directly into the bores (I don't know if that's a good thing or not). But, just trying to install 2 injector spacers is going to be hard enough. The back of the TBI unit would have to be modified somehow to allow the fuel nut fittings to still thread into the injector pod.

See how close the fuel nut fittings are to the TBI unit with just 1 injector spacer:

I had to do some grinding on my BB TB when I ran the original spacer and two thick gaskets, so I doubt that two would clear

yeah

that was my concern too ... would the fuel spray outside the "bores" or not

You want to have the fuel spraying on the walls of the bores just above the throttle blades when the engine is idling/at part throttle. This keeps the fuel off the blades where it can run to the rear of the intake. Having it spraying on the bore walls ensures proper fuel dist. This is the only true reason to space the pod. You could do it for possible increases in airflow, but itll cause more problems then it can potentially fix, like fittings not clearing, etc.
