TBI Air Cleaner Stud

This is the thing that the wing nut go on to hold my air element down. Mine is getting stripped out (and is too short). GM is not producing this peice any more as it seems.

Is my best bet for a new one to scour the junk yards?

Thanks Gents,

I got one about a year ago from GM. You wil just need to find the right parts guy, i would imagine.

If not, junk yard it.

That would be mighty nice of you Mr. C.

It's just a Rochester TBI on a 305. I can't image it is too different. The only thing is that it looks like there is a zig zag to the shape of it:

(forgive the lame MS Paint)

mines too short too, ive gotta run to a junk yard once school is out. I've heard if you get the stud out of a TBI'd s10 it'll fit with the 3" element (i'm assuming thats what you've got). The air cleaner assembly on those were taller.

Can't remember how tall the S10 TBI air cleaner studs are, but the 87-95 full-size trucks with TBI have fairly tall air cleaner studs, at least a good 2" taller than ours.
