Car died, any ideas???

Put a new exhaust on the car. Went from a 1 wire 02 to the 3 wire 02. Has a miss under WOT and also when you get on it right before it shifts. Anyways, was driving it tonight and it just died Tried starting it again and it would just roll over.. After about 5 minutes I tried again and it started right up. Only to go 3 blocks and do it again! Any ideas???? It's my only driver until winter hits. Thanks.

check to make sure you didnt push one of the plug wires next to the exhaust. that would cause the miss and if it misses bad enough could even cause the motor to die... maybe ignition coil is going out on ya, that could be the problem too... those are only 30 bucks at your local Autozone. wires are a lil more but those are two things to check out

new plus, cap, rotor, etc. All less than 200 miles. I tried plugging the EGR valve and line a couple days ago. Didn't fix the problem either. So this morning I decided to check the codes. I got a 1-2, and than a 3-2. No idea on the first but the second showed a EGR fault. I unplugged both lines and plugged the line back into the EGR. Started right up!!! I ran it for almost 1/2 hour with no problems. A couple miles from home I got on it. Went to shift into second and died again Couldn't get it to start after that. So I went and unhooked the EGR line from the valve again. Started right up and I drove it the rest of the way home. Now the line is still off and it starts right up. I still get a 1-2 fault but the 3-2 fault is gone Any ideas???Thanks.

code 12 is just telling you its in diagnostic mode... it was probably an EGR blockage, you still might look into replacing that soon if its old anyway.

Do I have to have it? Or can I just leave it unplugged? Was it a mistake plugging both the EGR vlave and the line off? Thanks.

Same **** different day.(lol) Plugged the line it won't even start. Unplug it started right up. Headed down the road, backfired and shut right off. Pull over, put the line back on the EGR, starts right up. Get it home and shut it off, won't start until I take the line back off. No codes except for the 12. Sorry to be just a pain. I have spent hours on it and am still lost.
