I did something similar to what I think your trying to do, correct me if I'm wrong. I just removed the stock screw all together but kept the cone-shaped piece installed, threaded the hole in the bottom of the FPR with a 3/8"-24 tap, and then threaded in a 3/8"-24 2" long bolt (cut down slightly). It works pretty well, too. Now all you have to do is remove the air cleaner to adjust the fuel pressure.

Here's some pics:

Can't take all of the credit for this though, I believe it was DM91RS that first did this. But, if you want or need more details, just ask.

Couple of things I forgot to mention. You may or may not have to cut down that 2" long bolt or not, it just depends on how high your injector pod sits off of the TBI unit base. I'm running an injector spacer and at 2" it was just a hair too long. My goal was to cut it down to where it sat evenly between the top of the base and the MAP sensor vacuum port, so I can increase or decrease the pressure as needed.

Also, once you do this, it's not quite as easy to remove just the injector pod anymore, because that bolt has to come out first. Same thing happens when you go to install it. You have to put the bolt up through the TBI unit base, put the injector pod into position, then thread the bolt it and then you can install the injector pod. Overall, it's a little bit more work, but it's worth it. If you have the injector pod and fuel meter cover (with FPR on it) all as one piece when removing or installing it, it's just like before. If this doesn't make sense, you'll see what I'm talking about once you go to reinstall it.

do you think a 3/8 16 bolt would work because i can`t find a tap for 3/8 24?

Yes, it will work just fine. The only reason I went with 3/8"-24 bolt was just because it's a finer thread. It makes it just a little easier to adjust it exactly where you want it, but a 3/8"-16 will work just as well.
