power loss at high rpm

Hi,
i've a problem.
for a couple of months my engine hits a wall at high rpm's
the engine is tuned and i think its around 300hp
before the months i have no wall.
i changed alot and always busy to make it better.
the chip is make by Brian(tbichips.com)
i play a little with the fuel pressure to get the wall away but it is hard.
at 17psi its running strong and the wall is at 5700rpm
at 19,5 psi a little rough and wass is 5200rpm
now at 16,5psi wall is 5400rpm
i don't mind that the power is gone but hitting a wall is not fine.
anyone a idea?

most likely it's your injecters going static.

Are you using the 305 injecters or 350 injecters?

Anyways you need a better tune than a mail order chip you need someone local who knows how to tune it as you datalog and play with it a little to make it just right.

What is the combo of your motor? I would bet the farm that the chip you received is way off. Mail order tunes do not work. Fear not, with a little leg work and some reading you can burn your own chips and dial in the exact chip that your motor needs.

I found your problem. Your tun eis not custom unless you took the car to him and he had it in his hands to make live changes. Anything else is a one off stab in the dark chip.

i can't take the truck to him because i live in Europe
he's helping me so much but i know that is hard for him because i live so far away.
you say that i must learn the chipburning and so to get the most performance out of my engine?
my technical english is good but not perfect.
do you think that's possible to learn it myself.
if i can get the wall past the wot-shiftpoint i'm ready.

hi,

last weekend i logged the truck.
the wall is still there
tbichips said that the airflow was not enought at that high rpm's
i changed indeed before the wall from a cold air intake to an open element
14 x 2 1/4''

when i change to the 14 x 4 and flow top its gonna be much better
sounds this good??

for the experts i have lying the log if you want to see it.

hope you can help me

Tom
