the gathering is on

i wanted to let everyone know that the gathering thing has officially moved past the point of just being an idea. it is gonna be an east coast event. the date and arrangements aren't final by any stretch but it is gonna happen in july '01.
since it is the first year we are trying to be realistic about the kinds of things that will be availabe at the event. the early plan is for a car show for both resto and modded cars, drag racing with one or two bracket classes, and a dyno if i can work it out.
i am gonna do my best to get it all in order. please bear with this process as blackbird305 and i are both very new to this.
i will let it out here first when the date and location thing are finalized.

This is my *official* f-body club. It's in Florida and this Sunday we're having our 2nd annual "f-body experience".
This is a HUGE event down here.

Just out of curiosity, could you give me a general idea about location? Narrow it down to a state maybe? I'd love to get there, but I'm not real big on extreme commutes.

Jersey huh???? Well, that's a ways from me (FL) but I LOVE road trips and I've done crazier road trips before. When we pick up customer cars for storage I get to drive on some sweet long a s s road trips. (Major trust involved). Have any of you guys heard of Walter's Engineering? Well, the guy is a Corvette/Pontiac guru recognized around the world for his work in American Muscle Car restoration. Yes, "around the world" Anyway, it is a great priveledge to work with him in person day in and day out.
