Does this really make a big difference? Sorry for my lack of knowledge on the parts ofg the throttle body, but what teh hell is the injector pod?
I am sure if I just went into the garage and looked at my throttle body I could figure it out, but why do that when you guys could just tell me? hehe.
No, but really...what is the difference? What does it help with?

The injector pod is the thing on the back of the throttle body unit that holds the injectors (the injectors are considered part of the injector pod too). It has, I think, three screws that hold it on the throttle body unit. I'm not too sure on the specifics of modifying the Holley throttle body unit to accept the stock injector pod, but I do know the reason people do it. The general consensus here is that the GM type injectors are better than the Chrysler type injectors found on the Holley units. They can take more pressure (and display a better spray pattern?).

That is very interesting. I didn't think the unit came with injectors and I figured it would have been GM if anything. Learned something new so I guess I'll call this a good day.

yes, except that there are different injectors in them.
actually there are few different part numbers for injector pods, from what ive seen though, they are all the same from looking at them, their might be slight variances. But most likely not.

Only thing you should have to do is tap a threaded hole for the air cleaner screw, since the Holley unit has it on the injector pod. Oh yeah, not sure but you might have to grind off two **** on the lower half of your GM injector pod or double stack injector gaskets to correct height. While your at it make your GM injector pods FPR adjustable. (see thirdgen tech articles for how to guide)
