well a while back someone told me that edelbrocks elite series valve covers wont work. They must be machined for something. IM not sure if this is true or what is all involved but could someone with edelbrock elite series valve covers please tell me how they worked out for u. Who knows if they fit i might get the matching elite series open element

They worked for me and i didnt do anything except put them on. The only thing is that ther is no oil cap, so i just fill the oil through the hole where the pcv valve goes.

 

cobrakiller u had them for a stock 305 TBI right? just makin sure becouse i thought u had a beefed up 350 and i didnt know if they took the same valve cover.

 

i do have a beefed up 350 but externally they are exactly the same. I think. I know that i just ordered them for a chevy small block and never specified 305 or 350

 

ur 350 has center bolt valve covers right?

sweet, my new edelbrock elite series set up should deffinetly dress thing up under my hood if i do indeed decide to go that route. Thanx

 

They bolt right on with no problems. Get a push in breather and reuse the PCV (unless you want just a breather), and that's it.
I've got them on my engine with the triagular matching air cleaner, looks damn good, I'll have a pic soon, I need to get the film developed.

Damn, guess I shouldn't had taken my back. Didn't think about using the breather hole for the oil. DUMB DUMB DUMB! Oh well, I got headers with the money I took them back with. Hey Mike, you get that game from ur friend yet so I can kill you?
