My injectors are screwed

Well my injectors are basically shot because my car has horrible gas mileage, it stalls a lot and seems like it has no power sometimes. Anyway, what I was wondering is what type of injectors are on the market for the TBI. What are some good injectors that I can buy? Give me your opinions.

That doesn't mean FOR SURE that your injectors are shot. Start with a code/sensor check followed by a good tune-up... See if things change

I haven't done a code sensor check but I have replaced the whole ignition system, the O2 sensor and the fuel filter. I was just wondering who makes good injectors and where I can find them.

not sure, never seen/had/heard of them going...

Get an owners manual for your car (Chilton's at least) and find the directions on how to get the "error codes". the bok is about 15 bucks/ and the piece of wire should be free.

Get the codes, and we'll heko or you can probably help yourself.

The only place I know that sells them for tbi is turbocity.com for about 70 bucks a piece. If anyone else knows of another place that sells them let me know.

Many things could affect your gas mileage. Your whole exhaust system (manifolds, cat, cat-back) could be in need of a replacement. I dont know how much you have done to your car to be sure. Have you tried an msd ignition box? A thermostat that is has too low of a temp. can affect gas mileage. Im just throwing things out there. It could very well be your injectors though.

When you car is idling look at the injector patern. It should be even and a nice steady flow. Have someone step on the gas a little and you can see it even better. If the pater is weak and uneven it might be your injectors. Also check the fuel filter and fuel pump. Some cars get clogged filters and caue the car to run bad and stall out under light throttle.

My exhaust system is stock with only 100,000 miles on it but it has a Dynomax turbo muffler on it (not cat-back). I haven't tried a MSD ignition box, I wanted to get one but I'm only 17 and I don't have a lot of money to throw around. I got my radiator serviced and they put a 195 degree thermostat in so that's not a problem. I have looked at my injectors only at idle and it seems like one of them isn't spraying that great. At first I thought it was the ignition system but I put Bosch platinum plugs in with taylor spiro pro wires and a MSD rotor and cap. That didn't help so I changed the O2 sensor and that didn't seem to help either and I also changed the fuel filter but that didn't help out too much. I orignally thought it was a vaccum leak somewhere but I couldn't find anything. So my last resort I thought was the injectors.
Should I maybe just buy a Holley TBI unit or should I get some good injectors for my stock unit. I though AC Delco made some good injectors for the TBI.

I just had to replace one of my injectors because one of the elecrodes was cracked and bent. I just went to Advanced Auto parts and got a new injector. it was 67 bucks though. really pricy. I would spen the extra cash on a TurboCity TBI unit. It comes with perfectly matched injectors and a higher CFM rating. You'll get a little more performance that will help even more when you get some more extensive mods
