Subframe connectors, worth it?
I was thinking of putting a pair on my 92 RS until I saw the price of $151. All they are is two long pieces of steel right? Are they worth looking into?

Yes, reguardless if your gonna do mods or not. They strenghen the frame and help eliminate most of the creaks. Also it's good to get a strut tower brace.
I have a MAC Panhard and Lower Control Arms that should arive sometime this week and up next is a set of SFC's from Spohn above and probably a edelbrock tower brace.

Yes, they are worth it. There are several companies that make them; Spohn, Alston, Kenny Brown, Hotchkis, SSM, Jeg's, etc. They vary in prices but basically all perform the same function. Maybe some work a little better than others but you know how that goes. That is one of the must have mods of any thirdgen. They should have come from the factory with them. You can even make your own if you are good with metal and a welding machine and have access to a lift. Search the archives and you will find tons of posts on SFC's.

I can't speak for a thirdgen, but they made a world of difference on my 95 Z28 hadrtop. I used Global West weld in SFC's because they are the largest/stiffest (2") available that don't cause a loss of ground clearance.

I put in alstons in my convert and I expected it to make a big difference but IMO
it was a marginal improvement. I know I am in the minority opinion. However, the Strut tower brace I put in (after the sfc's) made a lot of difference and I am sure that SFC's in conjunction with the STB is a worthwhile combo. Its probably like engine mods. Its the whole package thats important. Just my .02........bob

YES YES YES YES.

But it should be noted, On an F41 suspension, the effects are minimal save for body flex. That's why rsilver didn't notice much, he has soft springs and the converts are already braced from the factory.
If you upgrade your springs, your car will feel like a Go-kart
I had the F41 suspension, and Dirk was telling me they made his car feel like he was riding on a board. Then I installed WS6 springs, now I know what he's talking about

yes they are just two peices of steel, but the length and angles on them have been designed, not made. DESIGNED. there is a difference, o ya, and theyve been tested too. so if you think you can just start connecting stuff with some steel plates or tubing. um , no.
