Oil Pressure

Oil Pressure

Having problems with the oil pressure staying close to zero at almost all the time.

What could cause this?

Seems to happen up till about 3200 RPM then it climbs to rouglhy 100.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Before you get to worried I would replace the sending unit.

Its right above the oil filter. you cant miss it. I had this same issue last month.

I agree, The day I bought my car on the way home my oil pressure dropped to 15, pulled into my driveway and it dropped to zero. It was only the sending unit, $15 if I remember right.

Sending units are a known problem with these vehicles. The usual result is that the thing sloshes when you remove it--the seal deteriorated and the sending unit is now 2/3 full of engine oil, and heavy as hell.
