Same question, but I have a 305 with the 6AL and a blaster coil...should I widen mine up to .050 or more?

you guys are on the right track with this. but for any body with a stock/ cheapie coil, you will want to avoid this.
the stock coil runs into a lot of probs at higher rpm's keeping up full power. that means you are losing spark current and combustion.
a good coild doesn't cost much if you have an aftermarket ignition box, my accel super stock was only $25 at autozone.

YEs you can, I did it.
THough I had a hypertech coil and low resistance MSD wires to so I had no problems at the upper RPMs.

I've heard you can push it to .045 (which is what i think you meant not .45) but have never tried it without my msd box

I didn't know so many people didn't know about spark plug gaps.
The most gap you can run the better.
Like the guys said, run a larger coil or the engine will fall flat on it's face at a certain rpm. That max rpm depends on compression, advance, wires, you name it.

Hey, I have MSD6A, but if I buy a MSD coil or the Accel super stock coil, will I need to rewire anything from the MSD?

I have a question about my MSD wires. I just found out that I'm arking really bad. I just put in a MSD Performance Coil and it helped a little bit, but it's still arking. What else can I do. I have Bosh plugs, accel cap and roater, MSD wire, and now at MSD coil. I think the wires are bad, so I'm gonna try to change them and see what happendes.

Definatly sounds like a wire problem. I had the same thing after I did my engine swap. The stupidest thing I ever did was reuse the wires. The rubber cap at the plug was dry rotted and was causing nasty arc. The car didn't like me, new wires, reset timing, thing pulls.
