good cam
HI there i am wanting to swap in a 350 in my car but i am also wanting to mod the 350 before i swap it into my car. My question is which cam would work good with stock lifters since i already bought some but i will replace the pushrods if i have too. So which cams do you guys think i should run or should i spend my money on something else.

I am going to install a L98 engine block all stock right now and some 2460 headers as the intake maybe a edelbrock performer and put a adapter plate not sure

Re: good cam
Dont know how much this can help, but in the post are some cams that I am considering, lately the compcam's 08-500-8 and 08-408-8. I wanted to do the same thing with a L98, but since the engine came with remanufactured 193 casting heads instead of 083, I will probably be using some aftermarket heads.
Though according to the posts in the TPI forum, the L98 TPI folks are using even thougher cams then the ones I mentioned.

Re: good cam
I think screw in studs are a must over 0.470 lift.

The LT4 stile retainer should be ok around 0.500 lift. Do a little search for some exemples.
Check out at compcams with the cam # for the correct valve springs.
