I used msd coil and distributor cap. New autolite platnium spark plugs and borg warner spark plug wires.

Why am I getting worse gas mileage on my tbi camaro?

No just the engine stays really hot 210-220 the power is ok most of the time depending on the weather it gets 80 here and at night 40s. Idle is fine

That a normal temp for your engine?

I would make sure your plug gap is correct. Also make sure you don't have wires mixed up.

The gap I used was the one under the hood and yes my engine always runs about that until the fan brings it down a bit. My wires are ok it sounds smooth.

Yeah whatever. Gap them carefully. Hey say you shouldn't but be careful. Never had a set be correctly gapped. Always one off. Drive it more. Use different gas and let us know what happens

Re: Bad gas mileage after tune up
ditch the platinum plugs they foul too easily for these old engiens to run. If you dont feel a misfire. Then you shouldnt have your wires crossed. that is all you did?

Before it would go a tank a week and now it uses a quarter of a tank to drive 9 miles.

Re: Bad gas mileage after tune up
Thats beyond horrible. I would put regular plugs in it and see if that makes a difference.
