89 Camaro TBI not enough fuel
So I have done some research and I am unable to find any answers to my problems.
I have been having problems with this car for years, and I have been trying to get this project running.
I have some updates. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter, and it did not fix anything. So I blocked off the fuel return line and that improved the performance. I still had to use carb cleaner to start it, but it idled and at 3500 rpms. So I checked all the fuel lines and they are all kink free all the way back to the fuel pump. So I am not getting enough fuel to supply the engine. How do I fix this? Or am I missing something else. The engine harness was totally replaced, and I have two computers that I am using and they both do the same thing.
Could it be a sensor somewhere? I cannot think of anything else that I am missing. I really could use some help.

carb cleaner to start it? then it stays running by itself? or does it shut off immediatly after it burns all the carb cleaner?
the fuel pump relay feeds power to the fuel pump, so are you getting power to the fuel pump with key on engine off for a few seconds? after teh car starts it gets run off the oil pressure sensor.
if the car does run how does the fuel look coming out of the injectors? nice cone shape spray pattern or really crappy spray pattern with drips and stuff? Just a few things for you too look into...

Re: 89 Camaro TBI not enough fuel
I have replaced the fuel pump relay numerous times, and it also has a new oil pressure sensor. Once it fires up from carb cleaner it will die immediately if I do not flutter the throttle. One injector drips a little as it sprays, but the other one is strong. I have the 350 injectors in it now, the engine came from an 89 blazer and I am running the computer from that as well. Once I turn the key on it primes for the two seconds and shuts off like it should.

so fuel pressure is good, injectors are firing. you have spark because you are igniting the fuel. but car won't stay running.
unplug the coolant temp sensor and see how it does then. if that is reading wrong the car can be hard to start/no start.

The coolant sensor is also new. I can't think of anything else I have replaced. I am going to replace the iac and fuel pressure regulator, there is not anything else left to replace.

One injector drips a little as it sprays
In meantime hook up a FPG and monitor it with a line installed so as to read off windshield. Should be 12 lbs idle as well as under load.

Ok, thank you for the suggestion. I know that the injectors are both firing well enough to run, it is figuring out why it wont start under its own fuel that is being sprayed in.

Re: 89 Camaro TBI not enough fuel
Ok so I tested the fuel pressure again. Before cranking it sat at about 13 psi. It wouldn't start on it's own so I used carb cleaner. It fired right up and ended up idling at 19psi and would idle forever. It had no power under load and could only rev to about 3500. Isn't 19 a little high?

At the moment it is not. I think it needs to be replaced. I have swapped out springs and such and I think it needs to just be replaced. Will that fix my problem?

So for everyone concerned, it was the stupid MAP sensor. Swapped it out and it started right up. This whole time I tried everything else and nothing worked. Well now it's winter and 8 inches of snow is keeping me from driving it!!!
