Hard to get in gear
slips while in gear ( rpms will gain more than normal on acceleration)
You will smell it cooking.
You can no longer move while in gear
Just a few signs

just depends
You could get an oem replacement for 100bucks or so,
You could get a racing clutch for anywhere from 250 to 3+,
The main cost comes with labor. If you pay a mechanic to do it, make sure it is one you know and trust. That way you will get a good price. I had my clutch replaced by a mechanic who charged me $472 total with a new throw out bearing! And that was just a Luk clutch(stock replacement)

ok..just to be sure...i cant put mine in gear...so thats my clutch too right? I mean...theres no clutch pedal feel and if i drive it around the block occasionally the only way i can go is if i start it in gear and shift using no clutch. They can go out while engaged or disengaged is bascially what im askin.

probably
that was exactly the case when my clutch went bad. Your transmission is fine if you are still able to drive. Sounds like the clutch to me, but you might wait to hear from a Senior Member, or Moderator.
You might wanna bleed your clutch master cuylinder and slave cylinder BEFORE changing your clutch... if it's full of air or as old/bad oil in it, it will not push the clutch fork far enough to disegage the disc with your flywheel...

If you are going to replace your clutch, depending on how many miles are on the car you might want to look into a flywheel. You might be able to get a lighter flywheel to help reduse the rotational weigh of the motor. Did these symtoms staop right away or just slowly get worse? It could be that you are low on clutch fluid. Dot 3. How many miles? Tranny fluid could cause it as well. Just being low, not likely but could happen. Good luck. And see about bringing the parts to the place. See if they will give you a warrenty on a store bought parts. That will knock down the price some.
