I don't know too much about all the different kinds of sparkplugs out there, but whenever I got my new plugs a few months ago I was recommended, to my surprise, standard AC Delco sparkplugs (not the Rapidfires). That's with stock heads, though... you probably want to get more feedback on this. Try searching the archives.

I run accel high performance header plugs. I love them, they run well, plus give me a little extra clearance on my headers.

First I've used ACCELL shorty plugs before but the Edelbrocks use a gasketed plug and ACCELL does not make any in the shorty style.
Second,I agree AC Delco should be the way to go on factory
engines but I have a 11:1 race engine and was going to use NGK plugs but no one I've talked to can cross reference the Champion number with NGK and give me a plug part number.

I just did a quick search on Google and came up with this site:

http://www.brownandwiser.com/plugs.html

Apparently, the Champion "RC12YC" plugs are the same as the NGK "BCPR5ES" plugs. Hope this helps.

I and others on here have tried those Accel header plugs and they suck. The tips that the wire connects too, always come loose.

Regular AC's work well in my application. I've run Bosch Platinums and I hated them.

Maybe youre wires just sucked and thats the reason they came off your plugs. I have had the shorty's for about 12,000 miles and my wires have never came off of mine. I love them, and it makes it a whole hell of a lot easier to get them in if you are lacking clearance.

I've been running a set of champion rs12yc's. I do have a set of Delco r45's waiting to go in, to see what kind of improvement I get.

EDIT-- forgot to include my combo. I'm running a 416 headed 305 with a crane energizer 260 cam, with a Holley 600.

Well, I use NGK UR5's. They are shortys, cheap, one step colder then stock and fire off my 150 NO2 no problem. I do side gap them though.
