What Just Happened, Car Running Rough??

Took the car for the first real test drive after the cam swap with roller rockers. When installing the rockers, they seemed to slide back and forth a little.

I punched it in D and as soon as the car pulled me back into the seat, I heard 2 louds pops under the hood. I've had backfires thru the intake and exhaust before and it seemed louder than that. Any idea?

The car was running fine as long as I was driving. I came to one stop and all was fine,

I come to another stop and the car is running real rough, like it's missing or something.
My brother thinks a rocker jumped off... We'll pull the covers later if I have a chance which I doubt, any ideas?

Took the driver side cover off. 3 roller rockers came off the center of the spring. Damn it.

Didn't use self aligning rockers or guide plates?

No, I didn't realize I might need the guide plates.

If they aren't self aligning, rollers always need to have guide plates. And remember, when using guide plates you must use hardened pushrods.
