64cc heads on LB9

What im trying to do is buy 350 parts and put em on my 305 until i have enough $ to get the block and or blow up the 305. Just wondering how a set of 64cc heads wit 2.02 / 1.60 valves will do on a 86 LB9 motor?

Those valves are way too big for that bore.

yea, 350 heads will lower the compression on your 305......

They will work great on the LB9. The compression ratio will suffer slightly, but the effects of the 2.02/1.60 valves over the stock 1.84/1.5's will give you a nice boost in power. As long as you keep your camshaft lift under .600" you will be fine for valve-bore interference.

wha bout if i were to get the world products tourqer 305s, what would they do on a 350 block with the 58cc chamber. What kinda restriction are the 1.94 / 1.60 valves gonna be on a 350? Is it gonna bottle neck it or would i be better off gettin a 350 longblock with the stock heads?

No, the World heads will work very well with a 350, too. Do some bowl blending, though, before putting them on. That will probably add 10 hp or so.

Talk to five7kid. He's here all the time and uses the SR heads himself. He did some minor porting and got good results

He lives in Littleton--maybe you're neighbours?

MATE DO WHAT I DONE,,,just keep driving the 305,,,get a junk 400,,,recondition it,,put a set of vortecs on it,,,,its a cheap setup,,,,buy a small cam,,,intake ,,etc ,,,,its cheaper than pulling parts off and on the 305,,, ,,mine has 8.75:1 comp ,,i know,it will run on any pump gas,,, has dished pistons and 64cc heads,,just get a pro rebuild,,,on the above ,,,,,its cheap,,,,,my engine will go in in 3 weeks ,,,i think it will run ok,,,,you can do the same, being in america,,,parts are everywhere,,AND DIRT CHEAP,,,,

I run the S/R 305 Torquers. From the factory they can be cleaned up a lot. I did a minor port/polish job and they work quite well over stock castings. The 1.94/1.50 valves will not be a major restriction to the breathability of the 350; but the 58cc chamber will bump up the compression a bit, which may or may not be a good thing.
