14102193 are the 87-up 305/350 heads with 1.94"/1.5" valves.

ok, so, will they be ok with a little blue racer cam from crane? (.423"lift, i think) i don't want to have to port and polish stuff. i just want something that will perform decently without alot of mods so that i can get the motor in the car. anyone know the flow number for these heads?

also, does anyone know what the combustion chamber size is? and will they handle a little blower? (144 roots type or small procharger)

58cc chambers i bet.. and unless you are gonna run race gas, don't use a blower. The compression would be way too high for pump gas.

sounds alittle small for a 350, my 305 heads have 58cc's. i figured they would be atleast 64cc.

I wonder if those are not the swirl port heads you should avoid?

Yes they are the swirl port heads. I have a set sitting in my basement.

From what I've seen from other guys on here, and from my own heads which I measured, they're 64cc chambers.

If you're going to stick with that cam, and don't plan on doing any pocket porting, those heads will be fine. They're originally truck heads so they're designed to flow well at low lifts. Great for torque.

If you're gonna use a more aggressive cam later on, look to replace those heads to. They'll be flow limited after more than .450" of lift.

well, the plan is to go with a set of world castings iron heads, i can't remember the name of the heads, but their like $700 assembled for the pair out of Bill Mitchell Racing Engines, that' what i will get when i replace them though. i just want to get the motor in the car at this point. can't stand riding the bus and being toted around by other people.
