Currently I have the CAI that i made out of a K&N type filter and 3" pvc. I was reading and IM pretty sure ill get more air/gains from a dual modded snorkel set-up. Does anyone know where I might find a dual snorkel?

Im not sure what cam on those. Im looken for the kind that requires two filters

What kind of engine do you have?

The intake that sits on top of the radiator with 2 K&N's is usually for the TPI engines. The dual snorkel is for the throttle body LO3 engine and is a copy or duplicate of the L69 HO intake from approx '84 or '85 (I may be wrong on these years).

Its MFI so basically TPI

So, what you are looking for is the MPFI air box?
I have a 2.8l v-6 MPFI air cleaner assembly, with the air temp sender in it, and I think I also have the air hose, and the MAF sensor, It might even have some filters in it to.
I got it out of my old 85 Camaro.

The 2.8L/3.1 MPFI & the TPI V-8's use the same dual filter setup, the round end that connects to the TB is a little different between 6's & 8's though.

 

You want one from the 2.8l V6 as it already has the fitting for the IAT sensor. The V8 ones don't have the fitting.

Only other thing is a filler piece to take the place of the MAF. I used a soup can for a while then made a nice one from a piece of PVC. Search the V6 board, there are even pics of the air intake posted.

yea the v6 mpfi and the v8 tpi's used the same intake setup with the dual snorkel. go to the junkyard and just pull one, i've gotten two already that way

Now that I will be getting one of these...Isn't there a mod to do to them to allow more air to get in or something of that nature?
