Oil Pressure

what would be the normal oil pressure for a 350 tpi at idle or other wise

there is no such thing as normal, 10 psi per 1000 rpm is acceptable. most SBCs run more around 30 psi at idle

lol mine is never that low, its always at 60psi or just under when i let off the gas when im driving, idle its pegged at 60psi. but no problems, runs great.

My engine has about 60-70psi when cold and at 190*, normal operating temp for me, it is about 40 at idle.

my auto meter electronic oil pressure gague reads just under 25 at idle?!!?? how do i increacse my oil pressure

Typically, when fully warmed up, these cars run 20-30 at idle, and 50-55 cruising.

If yours is 25 at idle, it's fine. Don't worry about it.

If you want more oil pressure, you will have to take the motor out and put in a high-volume/high-pressure oil pump....

lol....my 305 was ppulling about 5 psi when stopped in gear after it was warmed up...lol maybe thats why my idiot self has a rod knock...hmmmm...perhaps.......lol...just for the record...........5psi is not normal...the problem does not fix itself over time...
