Exhaust smells funky

What could be the cause of this? Its not the gas, I've been to a few diferent stations and still the same smell. I recently replaced the fuel filter, if that matters. Could it be a bad O2 Sensor? Thanks!

Is it kind of a sour smell. Mine has done that for a while and I don't know what causes it. I have replaced the cat and the oxygen sensor and that didn't help.

If it smells like rotten eggs, or sulfer, it is most likely the cat.

A hot cat from a really lean mixture can emit a sulfur-odor as well.

You really shouldn't run around sniffing exhaust pipes for comparison, either. The boys in the white jackets will come looking for you...

Well, yesterday I think I ran over something. Couldnt tell what it was though, many other drivers had already gotten it. Its not that kind of rotten, though. What is the best cat to get? I've only heard of one brand (Random Tech.). Any others?

Check in a Summit catalog. I am not sure of what they have, but they do have a high flow cat.

Is a cat easy to install, (just bolt up)or do you have to be able to weld it on? Thanks
