I am wondering also what could be cuaseing such ****ty gas mileage. Oh and another thing, Anyone know how big the gas tank in my car is?

My '82 T/A gets like 9-11 miles per gallon. Stock LG4, but I get on it a lot. I think that the tank is 16 gallons. Not 100% sure though.

91 z-28 L98 17mpg city if i'm easy on it. 5mpg if I race like once or twice. One time I filled it up and less than 100 miles it was near empty and my tank is 15 or 15.5 gallons!

i get about 114 mpg on my 91 Z, that's before all the engine work, when i get it back, i'm not even going to bother driving i'm just gonna hangout at the gas station, hehe. (note: i do not have a 700-r4 trans or overdrive i got a turbo350) I'd imagine i'd get better gas with OD and a 700-R4.

FYI: the 91 and 92's are 16 gallon tanks, i dunno about any other years though.

My 87 TA has a 15.5 gallon tank. when i fill it up (gauge on "E") , it takes about 10.5 gallons to fill. this is due to a 5 gallon reserve. Oh yeah, i get about 10-15 Mpg city with my LG4 and 2.73 rear end.

P.S. picking up a 350 4 bolt today (free), after we pull the tow truck that was trying to pull the car up over the hillside!!!!

with my L98 and 3.23 gears I get anywhere from 16 to 23 mpg and I consistantly get about 280 to 310 out of a tank of gas, and I'm pretty sure my 91 GTA holds about 15.5 gallons.

As far as I know all the T/A's and Camaros came with the 15.5 gallon tanks. As for my mileage I get anywhere from 15-18 city and 25-28 highway. Those 2.77's out back aren't **** for racing but when on a trip the extra mileage is great.

'91 Z28 with 5-speed and 3.08 rear, 95K miles.

My mileage comes closest to IROC350TPI. I thought my mileage was poor until I read what everyone else was getting.

With over 95% highway driving, I repeatedly get 28-29 mpg easy. With about 50/50 highway/city, I get 19-24, depending upon how much city driving I do.

Best mileage was on a trip to the west coast with about 1000 lbs. of cargo. I had a strong tailwind and calculated ~31.4 mpg. That was in 1997 with 33K miles.

Obviously I do not race - or at least if I did, I wouldn't be a serious threat...

if the T/As and camaros have 15.5 gallon tanks with these supposed 5 gallons of them not gauged for a reserve. then how come when I go around corners when I am close to empty the fuel pump starves like the tank is close to empty? has anyone really driven that far into empty on their gauge and gotten another FIVE Gallons out??!!!

I get 30 with straight highway at over 70 mph. The faster the better. Since I average 19-23 combined, I imagine all city would be 15-17 or so. The overdrive and 2.73's are great for long trips. When I first got mine, I only got 150/tank and it was leaking injectors at fault. I replaced them and that did the trick. It's a 15.5 gallon tank.

i get anywhere from 130 - 170 mptank. depending on how many ricers rev there engine at me. i have a 305 too. it has an exhaust leak though....this leak causes the o2 sensor to read lean causing the computer to overcompensate and run it rich....so thats why...but on the highway..i get close to 400 miles per tank.

I'm Averaging anout 15 mpg on my L98. Seemed to be around 5 MPG for a while, but I think my MAF going had a lot to do with that.

I get about 25 or so more miles per tank on my tricked out L98 with the auto and the 2.77s than I did on my stock LG4 with the 5 speed and the 3.42s. So I guess that gearing doesn't do me so much harm after all.

I am getting right at 15 mpg, which is down from about the 18 I was getting a few months back. I don't know if my foot got heavier or the ol LB9 is finally about to kick the bucket.
